Premier Physician Awarded Physician of the Year

Premier Health Care Services congratulates David Romano, MD, upon receiving the honor of “Physician of the Year” from Community Mercy Health Partners. The recipient of this annual award is chosen by the employees and associates of the hospital system. Colleen Walters, Director of Physician/Hospital Relations for CMHP shared some of the dozens of accolades regarding Dr. Romano’s nomination.
Described by the associates repeatedly as committed and caring, associates praised Dr. Romano’s clinical abilities, excellent work ethic, good humor, and dedication.
A typical comment read: “He is extremely supportive of the ER staff and fellow physicians. He has a deep commitment to the ethical principles and it is refreshing to see such an advocate for the poor and underserved.”
A Premier physician since 1995, Dr. Romano has served as Emergency Department Medical Director at Mercy Memorial Hospital and Mercy Medical Center and will serve as transition officer at Premier’s newest contract, Battle Creek Health System in Battle Creek, MI.
