The Bill Hall Award for Service to the Chapter is named in honor of Dr. Bill Hall who served as Ohio Chapter ACEP President from 1974 to 1975 and as Treasurer from 1979-1985. The Award has been presented 18 times to individuals who have made significant contribution to Ohio Chapter ACEP or the field of Emergency Medicine through the selfless giving of time, dedication and enthusiasm.
Nominators said that Joan Kolodzik, MD, Director of Education and EMS at Premier Health Care Services, reflects those qualities in an Emergency Physician that merit this award. She contributed tremendously to the success of the Chapter and is unsurpassed in her clinical and academic capabilities. Her broad knowledge of Ohio ACEP activities have led the Chapter to leadership in clinical care, Emergency Medicine education, and financial stability. The Ohio Chapter has benefited from the prodigious work of an individual who has committed herself to medicine, and to the health of our community. The Ohio Chapter ACEP takes pride in recognizing Joan M. Kolodzik, MD as the 2007 recipient of the Bill Hall Award for Service to the Chapter. The award was presented at the 2007 Annual Ohio ACEP Member meeting and 35th Anniversary Event.
