OhioHealth Prism Awards are awarded to individuals who show a strong ability to lead and to display the mission and values of OhioHealth.
Paul Culler, MD, was the runner-up for the Prism Award for Stewardship. Says nominator Gail Loadman, “Dr. Culler represents Marion General Hospital to the community in an exceptionally positive light. Through his personal commitment to provide quality care in a cost-effective manner, he serves as a role model for ED staff and physicians. Dr. Culler’s stewardship and efforts to contribute to the Marion community go far beyond his direct service and administrative leadership within the ED.”
Randy Jernejcic, MD, “exemplifies excellence in each and every one of numerous endeavors. Whether providing direct care, chairing process improvement committees, mentoring and coaching students and new ED staff and physicians, or sharing research to support evidence-based care, he fosters a learning environment, demonstrating his belief that patients deserve the best possible health care experience. Dr. Jernejcic won the Prism Award for Excellence and was also nominated by Gail Loadman.
The Prism “Ring of Quality” Award was shared by Marion General Hospital’s Emergency Department and Cath Lab. James White said, “Armed with a ‘can do’ attitude and a desire to provide the highest quality heart care possible, employees and physicians at Marion General Hospital’s Cath Lab and ED teamed together to accomplish a gold standard in door-to-balloon times for emergent heart care patients. There was no obstacle so great that would prevent the two teams from achieving their goal. With their eyes focused on providing best practice heart care, the teams were undeterred in their mission.”
