Paul Culler, MD, Walks the Talk of Customer Service

Congratulations to Dr. Culler! OhioHealth System has awarded Dr. Culler the honor of Individual Physician Customer Service Champion for 2009. Dr. Culler, Premier ED Medical Director for Marion General Hospital, was 1 of 200 associates that were nominated for awards in 3 customer service categories. He will be presented the award at the system’s premier customer service event, the annual “Celebrating Service” retreat on Wednesday, April 29th at the Aladdin Shrine Center in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Culler’s nomination describes him as a customer service champion who walks the talk when it comes to providing quality care with consistent positive customer service interactions. His nomination tells the story of a 79-year-old cancer patient who had reached the end of his struggle. Dr. Culler was in charge of the patient’s care in the ED. “ Dr. Culler made sure he was without pain and that his family was by his side the whole time. Dr. Culler handled this gentleman with such caring and empathy that it allowed the patient and his family to be ok with the patient’s decision to let go.” The patient passed away with dignity surrounded by the ones he loved.
