What sets Premier apart from other physician groups?

What did Premier offer that impressed you most?
Premier’s stability really impressed me. Premier is a fiscally sound organization that has been around for more than 20 years. I knew, as a member of the Premier team, I would have a strong ally on the road to developing my career and growing as a physician.
The leadership in the organization has worked side-by-side with us. They are always willing to listen and change things to address a challenge.
What made you decide to look into a career with Premier?
It was important to me to work for a physician-owned group where management worked in the trenches alongside the ER physicians and PAs. With first-hand experience of what their colleagues faced, I knew the right decisions would be made for the group.
What does Premier’s diverse group of individuals and their resources offer you?
By bringing together professionals of diverse educational, experiential, and ethnic backgrounds, Premier helps me tap into an extensive knowledge base beyond what I’d find in books or journals. What my colleagues bring to the team helps me in everything from diagnostics to treatment to patient interactions.
Describe how you, as a shareholder, have a voice in the operations of the company?
As a Premier shareholder, I am able to vote on board members, voice my opinion at shareholder meetings and have direct contact with leaders. I can even run for a board position or serve on committees, such as the Pension Committee, that helps guide the financial direction of the organization.
How has Premier helped you advance your career?
As a member of the Premier team, I have had the opportunity to serve as assistant director at Atrium Medical Center and as a member of the Premier Pension Committee. Premier is also supportive of my involvement in the community as medical director of a local fire department emergency medical team.
How has being a Premier physician impacted your career in Emergency Medicine?
With the support of my colleagues, Premier management and staff, I have grown as a physician, a team member and an individual. I have attended leadership retreats, been challenged to develop and learn new processes, worked alongside hospital executive members and had the valuable experience of moving our ER to a new facility.
What does it mean to you to be a part of the Premier family?
Being a member of Premier means when I walk through the ED door, I’m never sure what the shift will bring, but I am sure I will be able to face it with the best team and resources available.
