What were some of the factors behind your decision to become a Premier physician?

Premier offered me a comfortable work setting, St. Rita’s in Lima, OH, at the time. Also, I liked that I could become a shareholder. The salary was good, and I could work as many hours as I liked.

What are Premier’s most valuable attributes?

Premier’s most valuable attributes are economic and occupational stability. This group is loyal to its employees, and it is willing and able to adapt to changes in healthcare treatment and management. Premier’s democratic structure is also a benefit to its employees.

Premier also utilizes a diverse group of physicians, which enables us to handle the ever-changing field of healthcare internally by utilizing the talents and interests of our current employees.

Our experience in Emergency Medicine is vast, and we share that experience with our physicians and staff. We have numerous lectures, topics, workshops, and classes available to employees every year. And employees will find advice easily accessible.

How has Premier supported you in enjoying a balance of your lifestyle and your career?

Premier has supported the balance between my career and my lifestyle by offering numerous different contract sites for me to choose from. This variety allows me the opportunity and flexibility to find a work environment that is conducive to my needs.

Also, as a shareholder I can voice my opinion about company operations, and I feel those opinions are taken into consideration when Premier makes decisions. Being a shareholder enables me to vote for members of the Board of Directors and some policy changes that affect my career.

How has being a Premier physician impacted your career in Emergency Medicine?

Being a Premier physician has helped me to grow professionally and provided me with professional and economic stability. Having a say in the company has positively affected my longevity in Emergency Medicine.

In addition, Premier has a Leadership Development Program that has allowed me to develop leadership skills that will help me to be successful when opportunities for advancement come along. This program enables Premier to promote from within when such positions become available.

What does being a Premier physician mean to you?

Premier treats its employees like family. And being part of the Premier family gives me a sense of pride to be part of a group of physicians who are well respected, have high standards, and maintain a high degree of integrity.

What about Premier has impressed you most over the years?

Over the years, I have been impressed with Premier’s ability to adapt, grow and remain successful in an ever-changing healthcare environment.
