As a resident looking to begin a rewarding career in emergency medicine, what did Premier offer that attracted you?

Premier offered me the best opportunity to advance my career as an emergency physician. The educational programs within the group assured me that I would stay current with the issues affecting Emergency Medicine and provide the best care for my patients. The low turnover rate of physicians in Premier gave me a feeling of stability in a field with such a high turnover ratio. I felt that Premier was committed to giving me the necessary tools to develop my full potential as a physician.

What sets Premier apart from other physician groups?

Premier stood out to me from other groups with their ownership model. It was important to me to have a vested interest in the company. I feel that I work with individuals and not for a large corporation. The incentive compensation plans are also unique to Premier and reward physicians for meeting benchmark goals and completing clinical performance objectives.

What is your opinion of the quality of physicians associated with Premier?

Premier attracts excellent and capable physicians. I have confidence in all of the colleagues I work with on a daily basis, and I have control over my own practice decisions. I am proud to call myself a Premier physician, and I intend to stay with Premier and pursue future leadership opportunities to further my career in Emergency Medicine.

How does Premier support the balance between career and lifestyle for you?

At Premier, my work schedule is well balanced, and I have plenty of free time to spend with my family and friends. Also, my patient loads are easily manageable.
